Urine Therapy - Urine Therapy Prevents Kidney Failure (By Walter Last)

Karen sounded rather frightened when she talked to me on the phone for the first time. Fluid filled her body up to her waist and she feared having to go on dialysis soon with a kidney transplant later.

I suggested a urine fast as the most effective treatment or alternatively a juice fast and watermelon diet combined with suitable supplements and diuretics. She opted for the juice and watermelon diet. However, after two weeks there was no improvement. In desperation she agreed to try a urine fast. Normally I would have recommended continuing the fast until she was more or less cured but because she told me that she was extremely skinny, I suggested a duration of 2 weeks.

Here is her own report of what happened.

KAREN'S REPORT

My experience with Nephrotic Syndrome commenced a year ago in October. I had been suffering shortness of breath especially after exercise, but like most people I ignored this hoping it would go away. This shortness of breath persisted and early November I had swelling around both ankles. To relieve these symptoms I had acupuncture but unfortunately it gave only temporary relief. A doctor's visit was necessary and after blood and urine tests my condition was diagnosed. At this stage I had a urinary protein loss of 8.2gms over a 24 hour period and my cholesterol had reached a reading of 9.7. I am of slim build and my cholesterol had always been at an acceptable level.

I was immediately sent to a renal specialist with a biopsy booked in a couple of days time which would consist of nephrons being extracted from one kidney, examined under a microscope to determine the exact nephrotic condition and then an initial six week course on cortisone to be commenced.

I was very frightened at this stage, and I was feeling very grateful that I had a specialist who "was looking after me", trying to prevent my kidneys from going into renal failure. According to him I needed this treatment to possibly stop my kidneys deteriorating further. This in turn might avoid the prospect of dialysis later and of course a kidney transplant further on. The presence of a tumour was ruled out and at the time it was a relief that my problems were coming to an end.

I discussed the above with my acupuncturist who made inquiries with his peers as to the repercussions of this procedure and the alternatives. I then contacted a naturopath who verified that there was another option.

I delayed my biopsy (with much resistance from the renal specialist and my GP) to consider the facts - the dangers of the biopsy, the damage the cortisone would cause to my weakened body, the side effects of the cortisone with the possibility that the treatment would not be successful hence necessitate a second course of cortisone, further weakening my kidneys etc.

I only had one choice now, even though I still had no guarantees. I was comfortable in my decision. Several days after my initial phone contact with Walter, I received by mail a specific list of supplements and dietary requisites which I commenced to follow. By the start of therapy the fluid had built up from being just in the ankles to being from the waist downward. I commenced a watermelon fast for nearly 2 weeks but without any improvement.

Beginning of December I commenced a urine therapy fast. I didn't consume any food during this period, only drinking my freshly voided urine, and some water at times. This would not have been possible without the guidance of Walter during this stressful period. The fast lasted 13 days and I must conclude that this was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. I was extremely weak, particularly toward the end but in retrospect this was the beginning of my recovery.

After the urine fast I commenced eating small amounts of food. I still had the fluid build-up in my body which typically was as follows - upon rising I was extremely thin with not a trace of fluid. After being on my feet long enough to have breakfast, the fluid would be in my thighs, knees and calves, then by the end of the day my hips and bottom would be fluid filled as well. I would be resting with my feet elevated for much of the day as well as using a rebounder as a lymphasiser for the exercises Walter gave me.

I again had blood and urine tests and the results on Wednesday December 20. The protein loss over a 24 hour period was down to 3gm. My cholesterol was down to 8.9. At this stage I had more fluid in my left side than my right ie my left arm, the left side of my body, my left leg and foot were much larger than my corresponding right side. My energy was still very low, so low that I couldn't walk up stairs without considerable difficulty. I only had the energy to prepare special juices and food for myself.

As I improved I still had to physically lift my legs into a car and by mid January I could get into a car normally, I was improving all the time but still a long way from full recovery. I needed rest and more rest. I had to eat lots of small meals during the day or I wouldn't have the energy to move. My legs were elevated as much as possible to let the fluid drain, my bed was elevated at one end. I ate very little protein for about nine months to take the burden off the kidneys. I abstained from any animal protein for about 6 months and now only eat fish 2-3 times a month, getting most of my protein requirements from a vegetarian source. The following list covers most of what I have done/still do since November.

  • Diet: main aspect being a diet free from allergy causing foods: no dairy, gluten, salt, all food freshly prepared, very little protein
  • Vitamin, mineral and antioxidant supplements including grape extract
  • Rebounder/Lymphasiser, Massage, Reflexology, Meditation, Visualisation
  • Light spinal tapping of certain vertebrae specific for Bright's disease
  • Castor oil packs on kidneys

I also drink about 250ml of freshly voided urine first thing in the morning. This I have been doing for about the past 9 months. I have not been to a doctor since March for further blood and urine tests as I was asked not to come back unless I was prepared to see a renal specialist, even though my protein loss was down to 3.3gm loss per 24-hour period and my cholesterol down to 6.5. After discussions with Walter I felt content to continue doing what I had become accustomed to, my body was healing and allowed me to become involved in life again but at a slower pace. I feel great now, I have adopted a more relaxed approach to my life and I believe that had I taken the medical approach my story would be entirely different.

CONCLUSION

So far Karen's report to me. In the letter enclosed with the report she writes: "I have been full of energy and have been exceptionally well for about the last 4 months. It is just wonderful... I have put on weight and have my muscle tone back. I feel great".

Several years later Karen was on holiday with her husband in the area where I live and I met her for the first time in person. She had good vitality, looked attractive and radiant and I could not find any health problems.

This is but one of many great success stories of urine therapy, demonstrating that there are not only cheaper but also more effective ways of treating diseases than just with drugs and technology.

Urine Therapy - Used by People For Thousand Of Years

Urine Therapy has been around for thousands of years. Though there may not be any scientific proof that using urine as a replacement for modern medicine works, many people believe in urine therapy. There are two ways urine is used in urine therapy. Internal application is when you consume urine by drinking it. External application is when you use urine on the skin. Urine is sterile, and is made up of 95% water, 2.5% urea, and a 2.5% mixture of hormones, minerals, salt, and enzymes. Although urine therapy is practiced throughout the world, it is rarely ever talked about in public. In today’s society there are many people who both use urine therapy daily as a beauty regimen, or for good health, and those who use urine therapy as need as medication. Some believe that human urine has strengthening and curative characteristics concerning many deficiencies. Some believe urine therapy is practiced as justification for a urine fetish. While yet others just think it’s plain disgusting.

Treatments that human urine is used for include:

Hair Loss is prevented by mixing fresh urine, powered sulpher and potato’s together, and applying the mixture to the scalp. Throat inflammations are treated by gargling a mixture of fresh urine, and saffron.

Trembling hands and feet are treated by rubbing fresh, warm urine into the skin, and not washing it off. Drinking fresh urine in the morning for 9 days is believed to cure scurvy. Washing your eyes with fresh urine is used to cure sore eyes.

Washing your hands with warm fresh urine is said to cure numbness, chaps, sores, and makes joints more limber. Washing means pouring urine on your hands as you would if it was water, and not using any soap. Dabbing fresh urine of fresh wounds as you would peroxide is said to make the wound heal faster.

For tired painful eyes are treated by placing a few drops of fresh urine in the eye. Four day old urine is used as a ear drop to cure ear infections, and ear aches.

By rubbing urine into your scalp and allowing it to set for 30 minutes is said to get rid of dandruff. By rubbing fresh morning urine onto your face it is believe to get rid of blemishes such as pimples, and leave the skin soft acting as a facial moisturizer.

It is also believed that fresh morning urine applied to the face daily, acts are a wrinkle reducer, allowing you to look more youthful longer.

Is urine just another human waste product, or are we flushing away the fountain of youth. Could it be possible that those who drink urine for beauty reasons be so afraid of growing out, that in desperation they’ll try anything? Urine therapy can not be scientifically prove, but that doesn’t mean it don’t work for some people. The mind is a powerful thing, and perhaps believing with all your heart that urine therapy works, is where the cure actually lies.

Urine Therapy - Mark Ambrose

The man who drinks his own URINE and says it’s helped him reach the grand age of 91 (but look 10 years younger) Mark Ambrose sips his way through a tumbler of the liquid every day

  • Also dabs it on wounds as he believes it can aid the healing process
  • Stumbled across the elixir while searching the internet for back pain cure
  • Believes the health and appearance benefits are so strong that without the therapy, 'life would not be worth living'
  • But admits his partner Joyce, 87, thinks the practice is 'repugnant'
  • Practice of drinking urine dates back to the Bible
In an era where the quest for eternal youth is never ending, we happily pop pills, down potions and spend a fortune on face cream.
But would you be brave enough to drink your own urine if it made you look ten years younger?
One 91-year-old man insists this home-brewed elixir is the key to his youthful appearance and active lifestyle.
Mark Ambrose, who 'lives in sin' with his 87-year-old partner Joyce, in the south of Spain, sips his way through a tumbler of the liquid every day.

He also dabs it on wounds as he believes it can aid the healing process.
Mr Ambrose told MailOnline: 'Joyce and I both have serious health problems which have to be coped with.
'I have a badly damaged spine and she suffers from macular disease, knees that really need replacements and other complaints normally associated with elderly people.
'Nonetheless, we lead a very active life with friends saying I look a lot less than my age, and my partner possessing remarkable energy and looking no more than 65-70 years of age.'

The former publicity director said: 'As far I'm concerned, I am convinced that urine therapy,
which I started practicing over three years ago, is mainly responsible for my younger appearance.'
Mr Ambrose admits he stumbled across the so-called fountain of youth by accident while searching the internet for a cure for back pain.
He explained: 'I'd already undergone three lumber operations in the UK and in Spain with the specialists admitting they could do nothing more for me apart from trying out different painkilling medicines.

'With nothing to lose, I thought I'd try the therapy to help to obtain a better quality of life for my remaining years.'
He eagerly began researching what needed to be done - but could find nothing about when or how much to drink.
While the practice might sound abhorrent, Mr Ambrose isn't alone - in fact, urine therapy is said to date back to the Bible.
Historical documents suggest that the Aztecs disinfected wounds with it, while the benefits are also mentioned in Indian and Chinese literature.
Urine is highly sterile, consisting of water and five per cent nutrients such as proteins, vitamins and minerals.
Advocates of urine therapy believe these excreted ingredients have health benefits ranging from a boosted immune system to eye and ear drops.
Undeterred, and armed with this knowledge, Mr Ambrose he decided to adopt the trial and error approach.
He recalls: 'Taking a small sample in a small glass – easier for a male than a female, I guess – I gingerly tasted the perfectly clear, amber-coloured liquid.
'Not too bad, I thought - a peculiar taste, nothing like anything I’ve had before. Not pleasant, but on the other hand, not too awful.'
Determined to continue, over the next few days he kept tasting his urine until he was brave enough to drink some.
'Taking a small sample in a small glass, I gingerly tasted the perfectly clear, amber-coloured liquid.
'Not too bad, I thought - a peculiar taste, nothing like anything I’ve had before. Not pleasant, but on the other hand, not too awful'

Starting with just a sip, he began drinking a little almost every time he went to the loo, gradually increasing the amount as the weeks went by, building up to a tumbler.
And the secret to it not leaving a nasty after-taste? A grape or two, or a quick rinse of the mouth with water,' he confesses.
Three years on, he's also become somewhat of an expert on how one's bodily fluids should appear.
'I learnt that one should note the colour of one’s water and drink it if it’s mid-stream and a definite straw-colour.'
But forget sipping on the pale stuff. 'If it's clear then it's practically tasteless - and I think pretty useless as a healing agent,' he instructs.
At the other end of the scale, the elixir can also be a bit too strong to handle. 'If it's a deep amber colour veering towards yellow, it looks beautiful but it's a bit too strong for me to take, despite it's potential benefits.'
