Advantages of using urine therapy

DAY 161

Beyond such wonderful claimed effectiveness, urine isn't what anyone would call the tastiest medicine out there.
Why is it so popular, then?
This isn't by far a tricky question considering only two aspects of urine therapy.
First of all, it is, perhaps, that one medicine each and every one of us has access to day by day, irrespective of location, age, gender or ethnicity.
Secondly, the golden elixir is completely free of charge. All there is to do is activate the urinary function, otherwise natural for every person.
And thirdly, urine reserves are deposited...inside every individual. There are no storage limitations or legal restrictions. It can even be transported over the border without special taxes and risks. Somehow, urine therapy seems far more permissive than any other therapy out there.
Controversy
Urine therapy has generated strong controversy in both medical and common opinion over decades. The fact that human beings carry around a source of eternal and complete health, despite mortality rates, is neither believable nor scientifically certified.
Even though certain urine constituents may have positive effects on human health, it isn't enough to prove that urine therapy can treat such a large range of medical conditions.
Moreover, human body has the ability to eliminate unneeded substances, in most cases through urinary stream; therefore urine intake loses any logic basis. Not to mention that in most cases, urine therapy is associated with certain religious orientation and mystic beliefs.

There are testimonies of adepts in Siberia drinking their own urine looking for hallucinogenic effects, replacing, thus, more expensive substances and plants such as mushrooms.
Urine therapy practitioners go as far as considering urine a form of metabolized blood. That is, obviously, an exaggeration, considering that blood amounts in human body can only be replaced by other human blood amounts.
Urine Therapy Side effects
Should anyone decide to begin a form of urine therapy, there are certain facts to be known.
First if all, urine intake may cause certain anatomic reactions enumerated and studied by the Chinese Association of Urine Therapy. The list includes:
• flushing
• tiredness
• increased body temperature
• rashes
• pain
• soreness
Studies reveal that reported adverse reactions were more common among patients with severe medical conditions or prolonged disorders. Side effects are recurrent and feature specific periodicity and duration. Any of the enumerated symptoms may disappear in a couple of days, one week or up to 6 months.

While urinophiles consider these affections as a necessary stage before total and permanent healing, it remains up to the patient to decide whether it is worth the trouble, taking into account the lack of medical proof on any of the benefits of urine therapy.
Conclusion
Irrespective of subjective opinions and religious orientation, the only facts on urine therapy are that it hasn't been proved to have actual healing or prophylactic effect, but it is almost certainty it isn't long term harmful. Even though promoted by several organizations all over the world, there is no scientific or medical evidence on its effectiveness on human diseases.

Besides, more common functions urine therapy is claimed to activated, such as rejuvenation, revitalizing and immunity already beneficiate from medically certified solutions, otherwise widely available.
Resources
Here you have a few links to articles expressing a neutral position regarding this therapy. We do not encourage nor discourage you to try urine therapy. But before starting, try to find out more about it.

Urine Therapy

DAY 160

Urine therapy - the drinking and external application of one's own urine as a healing agent - is an ancient Eastern tradition, claimed by devotees to be the oldest of natural remedies. A former prime minister of India, Morarji Desai, drank a glassful of his own urine every day - and lived to reach his century!

Today, an increasing number of doctors, health practitioners and journalists are endorsing urine therapy as an effective do-it-yourself home treatment. Drinking one's own urine, also called uropathy, appears to stimulate the immune system and has been able to cure seemingly incurable disease states. Urine contains compounds that are very specific to the individual from which it comes. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antineoplastic, anticonvulsive, and antispasmodic. It is totally non-toxic.

The use of prescription drugs during urine therapy is discouraged. There is the remote possibility of overdosing on a particular medication by recycling the portion of it discharged in the urine. With your doctor’s approval, if you decide to discontinue any medication, it may be important to reduce the amount gradually rather than stopping suddenly. You may be able to practice urine therapy with small quantities of medicine instead of a complete discontinuation. You do not need to discontinue the use of hormones such as thyroid or the sex hormones. If you have a urinary tract infection, it is best to wait until it is resolved before using urine therapy.

For health maintenance, urine can be drunken once or twice a day. If you can only manage to drink it once a day, morning is best. If you are suffering from some disease, then drink it several times a day including the first urine of the day.

Urine is said to be best the first thing in the morning because it contains hormones secreted during the night. Collect your mid-stream urine. Start with perhaps a 1/4 cup of urine in the beginning. If you find it difficult to drink warm, plug your nose and hold it closed for a while after drinking. The urine can also be chilled, but holding your nose is usually all it takes to get the job done. Rinse the mouth with water afterwards and remember, the longer your nose is plugged the better. It may even be worthwhile using a nose plug so both hands are free while waiting for any residual taste and odor to disappear. When you get used to drinking it, you may increase the quantity of urine up to one cup.

Other methods of use have been proposed which include using urine directly in smaller amounts like 1 - 10 drop or making a low potency homeopathic preparation with only a drop or so. Some encourage diluting the urine if necessary but others discourage that practice. Also, please remember to drink plenty of water during this time.

The Golden Fountain by Coen van der Kroon, is available and probably the most complete book to date on urine therapy.

Martha Christy is a medical research writer and natural health consultant who details her own experiences and research in Your Own Perfect Medicine..

Although controversial, one thing that everyone agrees upon about urine therapy is that it's absolutely free!

Urine Therapy

Day 158

I remember vividly I was browsing the internet two years ago and came across this topic “urine therapy”.
Gross! How can someone do that? Urine on your face, that’s absurd right?
Well I was in for a ride, because there are numerous benefits to using urine (whether internally or externally). I shared the idea with a close friend to hear her opinion on it. It turned out her grandmother – an old country woman (who looked decades younger than her ripe old age at that time) had been applying facial urine therapy for decades and had told her daughters and granddaughters to do the same. That anecdote won me over… After all I had nothing to lose. Still hesitant, I decided to do some more research online and discovered that a number of leading models (of both genders) use urine therapy to combat everything ranging from acne to aging. So, I took a leap of faith and started urine therapy. Over two years, totally comfortable with the application daily I am convinced that this works. Although there are people who drink their urine (over 3 million Chinese) and high percentages in some European countries that are into natural health, it takes a level of acceptance and openness to drink one’s urine- which I am not at that stage-yet (and may never get there – I admit).
After a year of using urine therapy my skin is impeccable, it glows and feels as soft and new. The first time I applied it to my face there was a tingling feeling on my skin, obviously reacting to the foreign substance applied. After weeks of application my skin had no reaction when the urine was applied. To my surprise and you maybe shocked, there is no fowl smell on the skin after the urine is applied and it disappears and is visually undetectable. That observation made me continue as the odor could have deterred my interest in seeing the end result.
My routine…
So what do I do? I wake up in the mornings and while peeing I use a roll of tissue to catch the urine just enough to wet it. By the way, they recommend using your first pee in the morning because it is more concentrated and therefore more effective. Afterward I face the mirror and wipe the wet tissue on my face (forehead, chin, around the eyes, jaws, avoiding the lips and eyes). I allow the skin to process the urine therapy for 15 -30 minutes, then wash my face. When I started I would only give it about ten minutes but after seeing the results I began extending the period, even doing it twice daily. One of my friends (the same one with the super young grandmother) leaves hers on for hours at a time, unless she has to go to work or be around other people. It all depends on the user. Logically, the longer you leave it on, the more the acid contained in the urea can remove dead layers of skin. The model testimonials I saw (you can YouTube the topic) mentioned a half hour, so I decided to stick to that.
Anyway, as I was saying, in a week I saw radical changes to the appearance of my skin which made me very happy. An unbeliever was now persuaded. I did not have severe acne but I had skin issues. Today, I am content, truly happy I started urine therapy. Every once in a while, depending on work stress and diet, I’ll have a little skin crisis for a day, but over all I can safely say the improvement is noticeable and consistent. Many of my friends have skin issues -acne, blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads etc and they have tried everything on the market but nothing works-even bleaching. I would like to tell them all to try urine therapy. Don’t be embarrassed! I had the same gut reaction too because we are all products of our upbringing and, unless you’re from some distant indigenous tribe on some uncharted island, or you’re from my friend’s family (the one with the youthful grandma), you probably weren’t raised to even think of putting urine on your face. That’s for the toilet, right? Maybe not entirely… You might think its nasty but you could be flushing the secret to your own fountain of youth. Let’s not forget, if you’re someone who cares about being youthful and having healthy skin, think about how much money you’re spending on products with harsh chemicals and questionable results when a little dab of your own excess fluids and urea could do the same job or better for free!
I get compliments all the time about my skin and people always presume I’m much younger. I am 23 years old, not 18 or 20. I’ve even been mistaken for a very tall, mature 16 year old. Gosh… that was one of the nicest days of my life. I beamed for the whole week after hearing that one!
Anyway, don’t just take my word for it, or the word of some of these top models. Don’t take the word of my friend’s jetsetting granny either. Take a look at what gold old Wikipedia has to say about it
According to Wikipedia, in alternative medicine, “the term urine therapy (also urotherapy, urinotherapy or uropathy) refers to various applications of human urine for medicinal or cosmetic purposes, including drinking of one’s urine and massaging one’s skin with one’s own urine.”
Your urine is not as nasty as you think. It consists of 95% water, 2.5% of urea, and 2.5% is a mixture of minerals, salts, hormones and enzymes. The research for this blog proved to be true. Millions of people are experiencing the great benefits of urine therapy offers and it can be the same for you. Urine therapy is used to cure or relieve a variety of ailments, such as, arthritis, hepatitis, multiple sclerosis, eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, herpes and adrenal failure. This form of therapy is also used to assist with snakebites, jellyfish and bee stings. It is important to note that urine is the main ingredient in infertility drugs. (I did NOT know that, folks!)
Urine therapy can be used as eye drops for conjunctivitis and glaucoma and in the ear for ear infections.
I shared with a friend that I would be posting this testimonial about urine therapy. Yeah! I did. When I started two years ago it was ‘CIA’ top secret information. Now, I see the effects and the benefits I am pleased I started it. This blog post was not written to force you to begin your own urine therapy. This is not for the faint of heart, but for those who have nothing to lose and will try something new to see results. I haven’t used urine therapy constantly; there were times when I stopped and immediately all the zits and blackheads returned like an army. Today, it is part of my daily regime because I have seen a clear difference between what my skin is like with it and without it. I mentioned my secret to another friend who looks a lot younger than his age and he said that he’d been using it for years and, after seeing results, stopped buying the barrage of skincare products he used to use for his adult onset acne and seborrheic eczema.

Your Own Perfect Medicine – Martha M. Christy

Day 155 on Urine Therapy.

________________________________________

This is an excellent review of the scientifically-proven and medically-documented studies showing how drinking one's own urine can be highly therapeutic, even in the most difficult cases. Urine therapy has historical roots in ancient Egypt, ancient China, ancient India, and even in this century, there have been hundreds of medical studies (even doctors who injected it directly into the blood, apparently because the taste was too objectionable).
The main theory is that it helps build immunity to disease, much like a vaccination. Martha Christy goes into all of this, and focuses on its use as a cosmetic, among other things. She recommends starting off with just a few drops, applied topically to the skin. Urine is helpful for acne, eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, sores, fungal infections, insect bites, snake bites, wounds, burns, and abrasions. It is a rich source of hormones, especially DHEA and melatonin, and of all the sex hormones. It is also a rich source of enzymes, and vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamin C, vitamin B-12, B-6, and other vitamins, and many minerals. It is fresh, raw, and alive, and totally free (to say the least). No wonder the general medical profession doesn't know more about it–there's no money in it for doctors or for pharmaceutical companies (although there are many pharmaceutical preparations, moisturizing lotions, etc, which derive from urine).
Urine is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-biotic. It is used in cases of AIDS (only AIDS anti-bodies in urine); cancer; fatigue; anemia; all sorts of kidney diseases, for weight-loss, colds and flu, candida, diabetes, digestive problems, and more. It is medically proven against polio, rabies, and tuberculosis. The list of diseases for which it is effective is very long. The folklore is to drink the middle stream only, fresh and warm, and morning urine is best. The past few years have seen "World Symposiums" on urine-therapy, attended by hundreds of doctors who drink their own urine.
Martha Christy offers sensible advice, and many case studies. She suggests not flushing the kidneys by taking copious amounts of water, which dilutes the healing properties of the urine. Drinking your own urine also makes you question what you put into your body. Even if you're in good health, a dose of your own urine provides energy-promoting nutrients, hormones, enzymes, as well as the natural antibodies that enhance preventive health care.

The Water of Life

Day 154 on Urine Therapy.

_______________________________________

The Water of Life: A Treatise on Urine Therapy – J.W. Armstrong

In this revolutionary treatise, J.W. Armstrong puts the compelling case that all diseases (except those caused by traumatism or structural disorders) can be cured by one simple means. The therapy is an entirely drugless system of healing that treats the body as a whole.
Moreover, the only ingredient needed is a substance manufactured in the body itself, rich in mineral salts, hormones and other vital substances, namely human urine. It may seem strange to take back into the body something that the body is apparently discarding. Yet the theory is similar to the natural practice of organic composting. Fallen leaves, when dug back into the soil, provide valuable mineral salts to nourish new plant life. The same principle holds true for the human body.
Since its first publication in 1945, 'The Water of Life' has achieved something of the status of a classic. Having just finished reading it, I can understand why. Armstrong, who was a British naturopath, was a very modest man. But after repeated requests, and after considering that he had a duty to his fellow men and women to reveal the details of the miraculous therapy he had re-discovered, he went ahead, and we should all be intensely thankful that he did. The book is a gold-mine of good sense, practical advice, brief though fascinating case studies, and astute observations on a wide range of matters.

Urine Therapy - Immune Booster

Today marked my 148th day on Urine Therapy.

___________________________________________

This practice is derived from yoga wherein urine is treated as your food, medicine and an immune booster. It is also known to treat problems related to skin and hair like acne, hair loss, warts, wrinkles and infections. You may squint at this thought but this therapy has helped many people due to the presence of so many different properties. Urine therapy may not be your first choice but can be the last attempt in curing your disease.

Even though it has so many benefits people may tend to shy away due to its unconventional method. There are many nutrients present in urine such as vitamins, hormones, enzymes and antibodies which are very unique and cannot be replaced in any manner. To make things much clearer it can be stated that urine is not a toxic waste but a by-product of blood filtration. It is a refined form of blood itself, made by the kidneys to treat illnesses like heart disease, allergies, auto-immune disease, diabetes, asthma, infertility, infections and different kinds of wounds.

It is also known to treat problems like multiple sclerosis, colitis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, hepatitis, hyperactivity, pancreatic insufficiency, psoriasis, eczema, diabetes, herpes, mononucleosis, adrenal failure, allergies and so many other ailments have been provided relief. Drinking urine could help you to have a longer and healthy life. As we all know it is works against skin, cervix, lungs, eyes, breast and liver cancers.

Some common self-therapy methods of urotherapy is to have few drops initially and then slowly and gradually drink glassful of urine, using it in the form of enema or get it injected directly in your bloodstream. Urine therapy is not only useful for humans but has been used for animals too. It has been used on cattle and horses which have shown remarkable changes by consuming one tablespoon of human urine with every meal provided to them.

Urine Therapy

Day 147

I have got fungus on my left toe. Had sought treatment without success. Though no discomfort whatsoever, the toe nail has somewhat blackened especially when wet. I am trying by applying urine on the toe nail each night. Will keep you posted on the outcome

___________________________________________

Urine therapy is one of the more controversial natural therapies out there, and obviously so, but rather than take anyone’s word for it, prove it for yourself, and see if it works. While considered gross by many, urine therapy has been practiced for thousands of years by its adherents, who constantly extol its virtues. It is an acquired taste, but the good news is that once you do get used to the taste of your own urine, you’ll find its benefits far outweigh the gross factor.
Urine therapy is extolled in ancient Hindu texts as Sivambu or the river of Shiva, and has passing mention in other ancient texts as well. The Bible verse, “Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well,” has been often quoted as a reference to urine therapy.
It cannot be denied that urine is an acquired taste. The taste itself is variable, but can range from almost tasteless to extremely salty. If you are really into urine therapy, you would have to watch your diet carefully, because your urine would ultimately reflect what you ate.
The typical practice in urine therapy is to drink the first piss of the morning. Drink only the midstream, which means to let the first few seconds of urine pass and then only collecting the stream after that. Another essential practice is to rub your urine on your skin and/or scalp. For this purpose, urine that has been stored for several days is much better as it is claimed to be softer on the skin.
The benefits of urine therapy are claimed to be numerous, but among them, urine therapy has been said to cure cancer, diabetes, various skin diseases, anemia, digestive problems, colds, and many degenerative diseases. Urine applied topically to the skin is said to be a great rejuvenator for the skin, diminishing wrinkles, increasing moisture to the skin, and getting rid of acne. It is likely to be a great anti aging agent, as urine contains many hormones like DHEA and melatonin, and perhaps HGH too.
One of the better known urine therapy practitioners was Indian Prime Minister Morarji Desai, who lived to the ripe old age of 99. He exhorted Indians to take up this practice, saying that it was an economical way to preserve health without all the expenditure of modern medicine. Many early Hollywood actresses were also reputed to be practitioners, although few would openly admit it.
The only way to know whether urine therapy works or not, is to try it out yourself. And to give it some time to gauge the effects. A good time frame is 3-6 months. Generally speaking, one should not expect to experience miracle cures, but having an open mind can sometimes be a great asset!

Even the allopathic doctors in the west, have accepted that to fight and clear toxins from the body, our own body creates antibodies. Now, during sleep the computer of our body manufactures such medicine according to specific requirements of the individual and is present in a big quantity in the first urine in the morning. And so, if the first urine is drunk, the body will get all its requirements, salts, etc. This is the principle of this therapy. Realising its great medicinal value, costly life saving injections are prepared from urine in Japan.
It may be surprising to note that even in the religious scriptures like Shivpuran, Mahabharat, Bible, etc., it is mentioned that this urine is the nectar of life and details about how to drink the same are very well narrated in Shivpuran. Even the culprits know the benefit of the urine. Whenever they are caught, the first thing they do, is to drink their own urine, so that when they get a heavy beating, they can recover from it very soon. Even in long fasting, it is advised to drink one's urine.
Sri Morarjibhai Desai, the former Prime Minister of India and a great propagator of this Urine therapy, used to drink his urine and massage the same on his body for 40 years till his death at the age of 100. That was the secret of his reddishness till the last minute. His skin was healthy and had no wrinkles. It was smooth and glowing.
At the age of 61, cataract started in his eyes. He started using his urine, as eye-wash and cured his cataract and had no need to get cataract removed till the age of 91-thus he prevented cataract formation for 30 years.
In all types of chronic diseases, it is advisable to drink one's urine. Dr Beatrice Barter of U.S.A claims to have cured even patients of AIDS with urine therapy. I am of the opinion, that if treatment mentioned in this book for cancer of blood and thalasemmia is combined with this urine therapy, the problem of AIDS can be controlled quite easily and rapidly.
How to Use : Let the first few drops pass. Then collect the urine in a clean glass /tumbler or in hands and drink it.
For Eyes : Keep it in an eye glass or in the palm and use it as an eye wash after the urine has cooled down. It is effective to keep eyes in good condition and to cure the beginning of cataract.
Teeth : For any types of problems of teeth-even when teeth are shaking, gargle this urine for at least five minutes. Massage it on the gums.
Care of Hair : Massaging of urine on hair and scalp makes the hair soft and silky, clears dandruff, germs, etc.
It can be applied on the face before a shave as a shaving cream and it will give a clean smooth shave and afterwards can also be used as after shave lotion. Such an application enhances the glow of face, and so can be very well used by both men and women. It will be found to be one of the best shampoos.
Skin Problems : It is one of the best medicines for the skin. In the book, the use of urine in syphilis, gangrene, white spots, etc. has been separately explained.
How to Apply on Skin : Warm the first urine, let it cool down. The crust has to be removed. Soak cotton in this lukewarm urine and massage it on affected parts for 2 to 5 minutes. Before doing so, massage ice on the affected parts for 2 to 3 minutes. Afterwards, wash with clean water.
At the same if two to three cups of green juice is drunk daily and colour treatment is taken the results are astounding; it even cures white spots.
Precaution : Before using self urine, please get it Tested'. It should not contain 'Sugar' or 'Pus'. If it contains sugar or pus, take the treatment to cure the same, and do not use your urine till then.

Urine Therapy

Today marked my 145th day on Urine Therapy.

Exercise, good diet, no smoking, moisturizers. Failing that, urine therapy. A bit scary sounding but effective. Get a booklet on urine therapy - you may be pleasantly surprised.
NO...no.That's just ridiculous. (Urine is something your body threw away because it didn't need.)
Things that will help are eating healthy, using gentle cleansing, daily exercise, sleeping on your back, keeping flowers around to transfer oxygen, an of course sunscreen.
Exfoliating will reduce them a great deal as well as moisturizing the fine lines. Good luck!
URINE THERAPY sounds interesting to me, because I once heard that Madonna pees on her feet to get rid of toenail fungus. I've also heard of ear wax to heal cold sores. So although this sounds gross, remember that our own body's tissues grow fastest (like when skin graphs are done. That being said, I think the most comprehensive ways to fight wrinkles is to use a moisturizer with Vit C, antioxidants, sunscreen and hyaluronic acid during the day (I havent' found one yet with all of that!) and with Retinol at night. Never use retinol during the day because it speeds up UV ray damage.

His name was Pablo Falcon, a Native American healer living in New Mexico. He was on a show called Human Urine-Elixir for Good Health? airing on the National Geographic Channel, showcasing an ancient healing tradition: the practice of drinking one’s own urine.
Yes, he drank his own urine; a cup a day, usually in the morning, catching the first stream in mid discharge.
He drank it straight, like a shot of whiskey, but sometimes sipped it like a hot toddy on a cold moonless night. It was Pablo Falcon’s preventative medicine-urine therapy, or uropathy.
I was young. That’s disgusting, I thought. Years later, I re-discovered Pablo’s delinquency, but until then I remained ignorant of my body’s golden elixir as though it was an enigma, hidden from the alchemy of health within a toxic world.
To others it’s tradition, but among a modernizing world tradition is perceived as primitive.
At The Mercy Of Sickness
Out in the world, I forgot about Pablo. I forgot about the ways of the warrior, the ways of the body, and its own powerful remedies.
I forgot about these things because I was falling apart. I was in India, and my body was aching, my head spinning, my nose divulging a sinewy greenness, my intestines constricting, my sphincter bleeding.
But I did not forget about Gandhi.
I was participating in the 75th anniversary of Mohandas K. Gandhi’s Salt March, and here I was falling apart, literally bleeding out of multiple orifices.
And what could I do? Whine? Complain? Go to a hospital because I wasn’t feeling well? The Peace Walk wasn’t about me, or about any of the other walkers from nine different nations. The Peace Walk was for those of India, and a universal Peace for Mother Earth and Her inhabitants.
A young Japanese living in Nepal came up to me. He was Morita and he saw through to my pain. The man I hardly knew handed me a plastic cup as we took lunch. “Take this,” he said in a hush. Around us others slept. “Go pee, and drink as much of it as you can.”
I was stunned. I had forgotten Pablo Falcon. I had forgotten my own body and its power. At that time, I was only cursing it. “What?”
“You want to get better?” Morita asked.
I nodded.
“Then pee and drink.”

Urine Therapy

Urine Therapy Treatment
Urine therapy or uropathy, as it is known commonly, is one of the new system of treatment observed around the world today. This system has been in the process of development for last few decades but as it has been claiming about the effectiveness of this system, not every part is yet proven completely. In this type of treatment, human liquid waste, urine is the only substance which is used for the treatment. Person is to use the urine formed in his own body and not of anybody else’s. Though being a waste product, urine from an individual is not toxic for that same individual hence it can be administered as a medicine, as per the followers of this type of treatment.
In such case, question need to be answered is, what is urine? Urine is usually yellow or clear, depending upon a person’s health and diet. It usually has an ammonia-like odor due to the nitrogenous wastes that make up about 5% of the fluid (the remaining 95% is water). It is a slightly acidic fluid which carries waste from the kidneys to the outside world. The kidneys have millions of nephrons which filter toxins, waste, ingested water and mineral salts out of the bloodstream. The kidneys regulate blood acidity by excreting excessive alkaline salts when necessary. The chief constituent of the nitrogenous wastes in urine is urea, a product of protein decomposition. Urea is, among other things, a diuretic. Average adult urine production is from one to two quarts a day. The bladder, where urine is stored for discharge, holds on average about 16-20 ounces of fluid, though the average discharge is about half that amount. In addition to uric acid, ammonia and creatinine, urine consists of many other waste products in minute quantities.
Being a waste product does not mean that a substance is toxic or harmful. It means that the body cannot absorb the substance at the present time. We might think of many of urine’s constituents as if they were leftovers from a meal. We could throw the excess food away or we could eat it later after diluting it substantially with water and putting it in the blender. With urine, unfortunately, we cannot ingest waste products in the form they had when first ingested.
For most people most of the time, one’s own urine is not likely to be harmful. However, it is not likely to be healthful or useful except for those rare occasions when one is buried beneath a building or lost at sea for a week or two. In such situations drinking one’s own urine might be the difference between life and death.
Urine therapy refers to one of several uses of urine to prevent or cure sickness, to enhance beauty or to cleanse one’s bowels. Most devotees drink the midstream of their morning urine. Some prefer it straight and steaming hot; others mix it with juice or serve it over fruit. Some prefer a couple of urine drops mixed with a tablespoon of water applied sublingually several times a day. It is said that hip new age people no doubt prefer to take their dose with their evening salad tossed with Piss & Vinegar dressing, available at alternative specialty shops. Some wash themselves in their own golden fluid to improve their skin quality. Many modern Japanese women are said to engage in urine bathing.
Many advocates claim that urine is a panacea. There is practically nothing it won’t cure. Urine is said to be effective against the flu, the common cold, broken bones, toothache, dry skin, psoriasis and all other skin problems. It is said to deter aging and is helpful with AIDS, allergies, animal and snake bites, asthma, heart disease, hypertension, burns, cancer, chemical intoxication, chicken pox, enteritis, constipation, and pneumonia. Urine is said to be effective against dysentery, edema, eczema, eye irritation, fatigue, fever, gonorrhea, gout, bloody urine, small pox, immunological disorders, infections, infertility, baldness, insomnia, jaundice, hepatitis, Kaposi’s sarcoma, leprosy, lymphatic disorder, urticaria, morning sickness, hangover, obesity, papilloma virus, parasitoses, gastric ulcer, rheumatism, birth marks, stroke, congestion, lumbago, typhus, gastritis, depression, cold sore, tuberculosis, tetanus, Parkinson’s disease, foot fungus, diabetes and other endocrine related diseases.
Anything which is not yet proven false and toxic that can be taken as one the majors of the treatment. Though not yet scientifically proven completely, urine therapy or uropathy is one of the types of treatment followed in many parts of the world by the people.

Many modern Japanese women are said to engage in urine bathing. The truly daring use their own urine as an enema. Urine is not quite the breakfast of champions, but it is the elixir of choice of a number of holy men in India where drinking urine has been practiced for thousands of years. The drink is also the preferred pick-me-up for a growing number of naturopaths and other advocates of "nature cures." The main attractions of this ultimate home brew are its cost, availability and portability. It is much cheaper than that other "water of life," whisky (uisge beatha), which also has been hailed for its medicinal qualities. Unlike whisky, however, urine is always available, everyone carries a supply at all times, and, for most people, there are no intoxicating side effects. Furthermore, the urge to overindulge is almost absent when drinking urine. The same can't be said for good single malt such as Highland Park or a good whiskey such as Black Bush.

Some enthusiasts see urine therapy as a divine manifestation of cosmic intelligence. They use urine to unleash their kundalini, sending it straight into the third eye, bringing instant enlightenment.*

With such wondrous properties, it is amazing that science bothered developing medicine when it had the key to good health already in the bottle, so to speak. Each of us is a walking pharmacopoeia. Homer Smith (Man and His Gods) once wrote that "man is a machine for turning wine into urine." Little did he know that man is a machine for turning just about anything into a medicinal tonic. According to urninophiles, the medical establishment has conspired to keep us ignorant of the wonder drug we all carry in our bladders. One self-proclaimed expert on the subject claims

...the medical community has already been aware of [urine's] astounding efficacy for decades, and yet none of us has ever been told about it. Why? Maybe they think it's too controversial. Or maybe, more accurately, there wasn't any monetary reward for telling people what scientists know about one of the most extraordinary n

Urine Therapy - The Death of Prejudice

Today marked my 134th day on Urine Therapy.

______________________________________

The Death of Prejudice
Fear about urine is conditioned and irrational. The following prejudices must be overcome:
1. Urine is full of germs.
In the first fifteen minutes after leaving the body, urine is absolutely sterile for the producer's own body. Only after this period do the germs begin their work. However, they are not dangerous at all, and can even be beneficial for external applications.
2. Urine smells.
After a while the uric acid in urine changes into ammonia, and only then does the urine start to smell. However, the smell will evaporate completely if the urine gets absorbed into the skin, or if, for example, it is used in the household on window glass and is thoroughly wiped off afterward.
3. Urine is a waste product.
How can it make sense to reintroduce into the body a fluid that it just has expended considerable effort to eliminate? A short and simple explanation: Urine comprises the sum of all the experiences that the body has had (much as our individual personalities comprise the sum of our experience). Records of disturbances, infections, diseases, and allergies are stored within our urine. If we confront our immune system with this information for a second time, we stimulate the construction of a (finally) effective defense. Urine therefore teaches the immune system a lesson.
4. Urine develops an unpleasant odor on the skin.
This is not true. It is, however, necessary for the fluid to be completely absorbed. If, for example, you make compresses, I recommend an animal fiber like wool rather than cotton, since the urine will not develop an odor in animal fibers while it will smell in cotton (as we know from cotton diapers). Urine should certainly not be used with synthetic fibers.
5. Urine contains viruses and bacteria.
Our own urine doesn't contain any viruses or bacteria that really could harm us because those have already been filtered out by the liver. And the remaining ones are exactly the ones that the body should fight with the help of urine therapy.
6. Urine tastes bad.
Healthy urine, especially the first evacuation in the morning, always tastes salty and bitter. This taste, however, will not be conducted through the capillaries of the tongue, but solely through the nose. If you pinch your nose while drinking, you will not taste anything.
7. Urine is responsible for diaper rash.
This is absolute nonsense, on which the diaper industry gets rich. Urine does not harm a baby's buttocks. A sore bottom is caused solely by the infant's diet or by the diet of the nursing mother.

Urine Therapy : Drops Under The Tongue

Today marked my 133th day on Urine Therapy.

The best method to use urine therapy: Drops under the tongue.

This is the application many started with after reading my book, Water Medicine. It is a very easy way in regard to finding the right dosage, using the urine absolutely fresh several times a day and having the best results.

Urine drops are applied under the tongue and instead of drinking a larger quantity; one uses only 1 to 20 drops placed with an eyedropper under the tongue.

We really don't know exactly why this application works with such a small dosage. It is used in a similar way to homoeopathic medicine and kept as long as possible in the mouth.

An explanation as to why the urine drop application works so well was presented by Dr Ryoichi Nakao M.D., Chairman of the M.C.L Institute of Japan in his speech to the first World Conference on Urine Therapy: 'Although auto-urine therapy has been known and practised for more than 4,000 years it is still believed that among the components in urine there is a miracle cure for all ailments. However, the efficacies of urine therapy do not indicate it to be an actual medicine. Instead, in terms of immunology, urine is an information source about the disease in the body, and when this information passes through the throat, it is analysed and the immune system is activated to produce the right biological response modifiers in the body to cure the disease.'

And there are other interesting reports about small dosages of substances kept under the tongue for protection. Workers in Japanese paint plants are traditionally successful in preventing long-term health damage from the chemicals they work with by keeping a bit of the paint (dried flakes of paint) under their tongue.

Urine drops are taken from the mid-stream morning urine with an eyedropper under the tongue.

First day ~ 1-5 drops; second day ~ 5-10 drops and on the third day 5-10 drops but twice a day - first thing in the morning and just before bedtime.

This dosage can be maintained until the particular complaint is solved. The dosage may also be increased as needed. Researchers in Scotland have made a further discovery about the correct dosage of urine drops for each individual. Fresh urine is collected between meals and slowly placed under the tongue with an eyedropper. The sensation of taste and temperature noticed with the first few drops suddenly cannot be detected by the patient any more after a certain number of drops that is individual to the patient. The researchers call this phenomenon of diminishing taste, the neutralising dose. With this immune reaction everyone can find out his or her own individual doses at any time.

In my book, Water Medicine, the urine drop method is mentioned and most of the feedback has been about positive treatment of illnesses using this method such as 'I took five drops under my tongue each day, morning and night, for the first two days, no change, but then on the third day I had no asthma - not a bit'. Urine should be taken joyfully and with a pleasant mind and with faith, at least in the therapy, which improves the healing chances dramatically. Your mind is much more powerful than y
